When Should I Book My Trial?

I recommend the trial is done 2 months prior to the wedding date. However, if you feel more comfortable doing a trial sooner or later I can accommodate this.

 

Where is the Trial held?

Trials are done at the Client’s home, travel expenses will be charged at 45p per mile or I can do the trial at my studio based in Aylesbury. 

 

How Can I Plan for my Trial?

Please provide me with a picture of yourself in daylight and pictures of hair and/or makeup inspiration photos prior to your appointment, Pinterest is a good platform to do this. If you’re torn between a few looks, don’t worry! I will help you finalise a look that fits your wedding style during your appointment. For bridal trials, it is helpful to wear a white or light colored top to resemble your wedding dress.

 

How Should I Prep My Hair?

Please wash and blow dry your hair the day before or the day of your appointment. Do not flat iron your hair as it very hard to curl once it’s been flat-ironed. The same goes for curling your hair if you wish to have it straightened at the trail.

 

Should I Come With a Clean Face for my Makeup Trial?

Please either have a clean face or wear your usual makeup to give me an idea of your makeup preference. It’s totally up to you! I will prep your skin with moisturizer and primer, so no need to bring those items.

Are lashes included in the price?
 Individual lashes and strip lashes are included with no additional charge. I am also happy to apply your own strip lashes if you have brought you own for the trial or wedding day.

What Should I Have To Hand?

Please have ready any hair accessories that you plan on wearing for your wedding day. If you have a specific hair product or makeup product that you want to use for your wedding, for example, a specific blush or lipstick, please have those ready as well. If you have allergies to certain makeup brands or makeup ingredients, please me know in advance.

 

Can I Try Different Looks?

I recommend that you choose your favorite hair and makeup look for your appointment. I am happy to make some adjustments to the hair and makeup during the trial based on your feedback, however, if you want to start a new and completely different look from scratch after the first look a second hair and/or makeup trial charge will be added to cover the cost of extra materials and time used to accommodate this.

What products do you use in your kit? (VEGAN & CRUELTY FREE BRANDS INCLUDED!)

I use only the highest quality professional products that are developed to look equally impressive in real-life as in photographs. I use a selection of CHANEL, Becca, MAC, Nars, YSL, The Ordinary and more. I also offer CRUELTY-FREE and VEGAN BRANDS such as Charlotte Tilbury, Laura Mercier, Smashbox, Stila, Too Faced and ZOEVA.

Do you have hair accessories for me to try at the trial?

Will You Be Taking Pictures at the Trial?

I try to snap a before and after picture at the trial to capture your transformation which I use as a reference and to add to my portfolio of work. I will also note down any necessary details. I will ask you at the trial and on the wedding day if you are okay with me taking pictures.

How Long Will It Take?

For makeup or hair only trials please allow 1.5hours. For hair and Makeup trials please allow 3 hours. All trials include a 15 minute mini consultation to discuss hair/skin type and look at pictures of what you would like to achieve in your trial. Please specify if you have a special circumstance, such as very long and/or thick hair so that I add time to your trial.

How do I book you for my wedding?

Please fill out my contact form to receive a a no-obligation quote. Upon wanting to proceed with booking me, a 30% non-refundable booking fee deposit is taken at the time of booking. This is to secure your date with me and to hold it in my diary and turn down all other enquiries/bookings for that date. Once the deposit is paid your date is secured. If you require an assistant on your date and its itemised on the invoice, I will secure them for your booking. The remaining balance is due in full two weeks before the wedding date via bank transfer (Payment details are on all quotations and invoices). Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of my T & C's. Note: Minimum booking is 3 or more people due to demand.

Can I make changes to my booking?

If your ceremony time changes from the original agreed time, please let me know so I can amend my diary and to check I haven't got any other commitments. Requesting to cancel some services due to a change of mine is not refundable, however, you can allow someone else to use those services instead. e.g if a bridal party member booked hair and decides they now don't want it, this is not refundable. Booking are taken based on my availably and size, especially during peak months in the summer. If you would like to add more services to your booking, please let me know before hand so I can confirm if I will need an assistant to help on the day and to also allow me time to book my assistant in advance. Please note booking an assiant will be a one off extra fee of £70 to secure them for the wedding day.

Can I cancel my booking?

If the bride/bridal party decides to cancel the booking with me the booking fee deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is to cover any trial costs and any loss of business should you cancel completely. It is a fee for me and my assistant to hold your date in our diaries and turn down all other bookings. We book date anything from 3-9 months in advance and so the likelihood of being able to rebook another client at such notice is highly unlikely. I hope you understand. In case of unfortunate circumstances I will offer you to transfer your full deposit to another date should you need to postpone it (subject to my availability). Please contact me if this is the case and we can discuss potential new date and amend and update your current quote and invoice agreement. Payment of the deposit confirms acceptance of my T & C's.
